HolidayHolidayHoliday.co.uk: 2010 offers Bargain Holidays up to a third cheaper than 2009 holiday prices.

A recent study shows that Summer holiday prices in 2010 are now being discounted by up to a third compared to prices in 2009, due to a number of factors this year.
The holiday price drop is being blamed partly on a number of scenarios such as the ash cloud, earthquakes, problems in Greece and air strikes, all of which have resulted in less holidaymakers booking holidays during the last few months. This has led to fewer holidays being sold than usual in the run up to the Summer months, meaning prices are now being discounted by many of the main tour operators to encourage more bookings. Bargain holidays, especially for those booking late, can now be snapped up at much lower prices compared to holidays last year, a relief for families who haven't booked their Summer holiday yet.
The biggest price savings, according to the Co-op Travel Group who commissioned the survey, are in destinations such as Paphos, Turkey and some of the Greek Islands.
Marketing Director of Holiday Holiday Holiday, Emma Healey said "Holidaymakers booking last minute currently have an opportunity to buy bargain holidays at much lower prices compared to last year. A unique set of circumstances, with the World Cup, the ash cloud and the general financial situation, has resulted in holiday companies slashing prices to encourage more bookings. On holidayholidayholiday.co.uk this saving is very visible on the website with many holidays being advertised at discounted prices compared to last year. For families who haven't booked yet, this will come as a welcome change from the inflated prices usually seen at this time of year."
The top three holiday destinations to see the effect of price cuts are Paphos in Cyprus, Zante and Crete in the Greek Islands. Couple these facts with a recent Post Office report that meal prices whilst on holiday in Cyprus and Greece have also dropped and these destinations look very attractive right now for bargain holidays. The price of holidays to Turkey is also said to be down by almost a quarter compared to last year, with bookings up on last year as holidaymakers start to favour the METT (Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey) over the traditional Med destinations.
Package holiday companies, now left with thousands of holidays to sell will be slashing prices to make their holidays as attractive as possible. If you haven't booked already now's the time to take advantage of the late deals available.
